I want to offer a very special Happy Mother's Day to my daughter, Jessica. Six years ago, she was kidnapped and brutally raped by a maintenance man who worked in her apartment complex. Her survival is a miracle. Today, she awaits (any minute now!) the birth of her first child. There isn't a day that passes when I don't think about how different our lives could be. Instead of flowers for the table, my husband and I would be bringing flowers to the cemetery. This is, indeed, a very Happy Mother's Day for us... and I wish you all a day filled with love, laughter and wonderful memories in the making.
